Why developU

Skill is built rep by rep, but games are won by players who can read what’s in front of them and react. Every session works both: the fundamentals you’ll use forever, and the decision-making that separates good from great.

You train with two coaches who have lived it. Open to all positions. Co-ed. Bring water and a ball.

How we train

Stop drilling answers. Start designing problems.

Reps that look clean in a line don’t always show up in a game. Every developU session is built as a problem to solve, not a movement to repeat. We change the rule, change the space, or adjust for the player. The athlete learns to read what’s in front of them and pick a solution.

  • 01Task

    Change the rule

Limit dribbles. Require a paint touch. Force the driver to pass after creating an advantage.

  • 02Environment

    Change the space

Shrink the floor. Add a shot clock. Start from a disadvantage. Layer in transition pressure.

  • 03Individual

    Match the player

Adjust the challenge to the athlete’s size, experience, strengths, and next development edge.

Inside a developU session

  1. 01Small-sided games that create live reads.
  2. 02Advantage and disadvantage situations against real defenders.
  3. 03Guided questions instead of constant commands.
  4. 04Finishing, spacing, passing, and defending in context.
  5. 05Reflection: what did you see, why did you choose it, what’s the next read.

Perceive. Decide. Act.
